Dallas patients desiring a nonsurgical alternative for treating wrinkles may turn towards an injectable filler to attain beautiful results. Radiesse has quickly become a leading facial filler for improving the appearance of the skin. It is a filler product composed of the mineral calcium hydroxyapatite, a naturally occurring substance that is found inside the bones. Dr. Beck offers this filler for patients who wish to attain effective, lasting results. Once injected into the skin, this filler adds volume immediately, which softens surface wrinkles while simultaneously stimulating the body’s production of collagen. Radiesse is the only FDA-approved dermal filler comprised of calcium-based microspheres. It is considered semi-permanent and typically last longer than the hyaluronic acid fillers. The differences between these fillers can be discussed during the initial consultation.

Please see him for all your cosmetic needs. Anyone considering cosmetic procedures and surgery should see a plastic surgeon (period). You will not be sorry with Dr. Beck."- A.L. / Yelp / Sep 22, 2015
"I did not want a major revision to my looks, and I did not want to look 20 years younger. I just wanted the least invasive treatment available to give me a fresher look. Dr. Beck did not push anything major or try to convince me that I needed a lot of expensive work done. He listened to my concerns and what I thought my problem areas were, and he advised me there were many options. The results were fabulous. Within a week of my procedure, people I see often from work or class were telling me how great I look, asking if I've lost weight, etc. His staff is caring and warm and responsive, and he really listens to his patients. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Beck and his staff, and I am so very grateful that I took the plunge."- S.T. / Google / Feb 14, 2020
"I recently went to Dr. Beck for facial filler. I was VERY nervous about getting this done. Dr. Beck and his staff were amazing! Dr. Beck took a lot of time with me asking me what areas of my face concerned me and we decided on a plan together. He was so meticulous and did not rush at all. I am so happy with my results and recommend him to anyone considering facial filler. I have worked in the plastic surgery field for years and have never come across a doctor so amazing. I was wanting a more youthful natural look and that is exactly what I received! Thank you Dr. Beck....I will be back when I need more!"- M.R. / Google / Jan 29, 2020

Radiesse is a quick procedure normally completed within 30 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. The face will be thoroughly cleansed and then marked with ink so that the practitioner can conduct the injections with precision. A numbing cream is usually applied before the injection occurs. The gel is delivered using a fine needle into pockets just underneath the skin until the right volume is achieved.
What To Expect
After treatment, there may be redness, swelling and even bruising around the injection sites, but these go away after several hours. Patients will be able to resume their normal routine; although strenuous exercise should be limited for the first 24 hours. Patients will see their results immediately, and the results will continue to improve because Radiesse stimulates natural collagen growth, which is an agent for healthy skin.
Schedule an appointment for a customized consultation with Dr. Beck to determine the cost of your procedure. Radiesse is priced per syringe. The cost varies depending on how many syringes are used to attain the results the patient desires. This derma filler treatment is a temporary fix. Patients who wish to maintain their results will need to come back for additional treatments after one year.

Radiesse vs. Other Fillers?
There is an extensive selection of derma fillers available. Each filler has its own specific treatment to match the patient’s cosmetic issues. Whether naturally or artificially derived, these are all FDA approved, which means they are proven to be safe and effective. The one highlight of a Radiesse treatment is that aside from its volumizing capability it can function as a collagen stimulator. When collagen multiplies, it greatly benefits the skin tone. During the initial consultation, the face will be assessed and the appropriate filler will be recommended.
Is Radiesse Right For Me?
Several other derma fillers are manufactured using hyaluronic acid. Popular examples are Juvederm or Restylane. While these are great in adding volume back to facial depressions, Radiesse stands out as the only filler made of calcium-based microspheres, which have the ability to integrate with skin tissues and promote collagen growth. Every patient is unique and a treatment plan will be tailored to them that may include Radiesse, or another filler if the practitioner feels it will best benefit the patient.
Is It Risky?
Radiesse is FDA approved and backed by comprehensive testing. As it is derived from a substance that naturally occurs in the body, it poses no toxic risk. Temporary side effects may include redness, swelling, bruising, numbness or itching, which all subside after a few days.
