Southlake, TX cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Daniel Beck, is proud to offer DFW area patients CoolSculpting, one of the latest alternatives for fat removal. Cryolipolysis is the science behind CoolSculpting, a noninvasive procedure that exposes fat cells to a method of controlled cooling, which essentially freezes the fat cells and causes them to die. The body then disposes these cells through a natural elimination process. During this procedure, the surrounding tissues and skin are unaffected. CoolSculpting is a laser liposuction procedure that has grown in popularity due to its outstanding results. It is best used for problem areas around the abdomen, and is a great, low-risk alternative to surgical liposuction. In most cases, the procedure is staged in multiple sessions with visible results showing within 2 to 4 months of treatment.

"I cannot say enough about Dr. Beck... his extremely patience and has a wonderful bedside manner. My family member had a horrible breast augmentation and lift from Dr. Adams and had to be completely redone less than a year later. I could go on and on but basically his the bomb! I highly recommend him."- L.S. / Yelp / May 24, 2017
"Highly recommend! - I had a breast augmentation (dual plane with highly cohisive silicon gel 365cc) with Dr. Beck. I was a full B, small C with all breast fat on the bottom of breast - and now I'm a full C and fill out the top of my bra! I was pretty nervous going in, as this is a permanent procedure. I couldn't be more happy with the results! Not only is he very thorough, he really took the time to listen to..."- D. / RealSelf / May 15, 2017
During the Procedure@headingTag>
During a CoolSculpting procedure, patietns will not feel any pain, but will feel slight pressure in the areas being treated. The practitioner will place the cooling device on the area of the body where the fat is to be removed. The device pulls the fat pocket up between the cooling panels, where the freezing process will ensue. Treatment will last about an hour, depending on the size of the area being treated. Following the procedure, patients can resume their normal day. They may experience some redness and tingling on the treated area, but this will subside quickly.
The cost for a CoolSculpting treatment will vary from as low as $500 up to $1,500 per treatment. The number of treatments will depend on which part of the body needs sculpting, how thick the fat layer is and how large the size of the area is that is being treated.

How Safe is It?@headingTag>
CoolSculpting works by applying a controlled temperature, targeting fat cells in selected areas for treatment. As it is noninvasive and applied only on the skin’s surface, there is no need for a recovery period, except for some redness that can last from as little as a few minutes up to a few hours. There may also be some swelling that may last for a week. Basically, fat cells are ‘frozen to death’ and the fat is broken down by the body and released in its natural process.
Will I Be Fat Again?@headingTag>
Once the treated fat cells are eliminated from the body, they cannot regenerate. This does not mean that new fat cells cannot form where the fat cells were already removed. Thus, it is important to adhere to an active lifestyle and healthy diet so the results achieved will be long-term.
Number of Treatments?@headingTag>
This depends. Multiple treatments may be recommended for those who have thicker layers of fat in the target areas. Depending on the patient’s aesthetic goals, the doctor may recommend one full treatment up to a number of treatments spanning a few months.
